In less than three years, SeeHer has become the industry standard for gender equality in advertising, marketing, and media. We’ve already surpassed one major milestone in our mission, improving the accurate portrayal of women and girls in ads by 20 percent by 2020, the 100th anniversary of women gaining the right to vote in the U.S.

In the past year, the movement took the Gender Equality MeasureTM worldwide, and it’s now in use in 14 markets. We broadened and deepened our partnerships with media companies and content creators. And we introduced a new tiered structure that brings some of the benefits of SeeHer membership to every ANA marketer. And this month, we welcomed new SeeHer co-chairs, AT&T Chief Brand Officer Fiona Carter and Procter & Gamble Chief Brand Officer Marc Pritchard.

As we continue to grow, we recognize the critical need to constantly upgrade and refine the SeeHer resources you need to make gender equality a reality in your content and your company. To that end, we’ve created a set of SeeHer Tip Sheets you can use to make your efforts more effective.

Because different groups have different requirements, we’ve created five customized sheets. There are separate sheets for the creative process; writing accurate women characters; a sheet for media planners and researchers; tips on how to effectively integrate GEM®TM into copy testing, media planning and RFPs; and ideas on how to maximize your membership.

Once again, thank you for taking this incredible journey with us. At the end, we will all benefit from a better world for our businesses and ourselves.
